Support Hempfield Girls Basketball and Help a Great Cause!

Join us for our 2nd Annual Sink Pink Girls Basketball Game on Friday, January 23, as we raise funds to benefit Help the Fight, a local Lancaster charity supporting breast cancer patients. There will be giveaways and a 50/50 raffle. 

We’re selling Hempfield t-shirts to show support for our team and raise awareness for this great cause! Shirts will be sold for $20 at the game on 1/23 while supplies last!  Proceeds will go directly to Help the Fight.

Students, show your school spirit by purchasing a t-shirt and wearing it to the game on January 23rd. Game times are JV at 6 pm and Varsity at 7:30 pm. Together, we can make a difference while supporting our team! Don't miss it, and let's fill the gym with pink!

Registration is open for Intramural Baseball. Register by visiting www.playhya.com. We have seen tremendous growth in our travel numbers over the last few years. That is the foundation of kids growing to love the game, developing, and competing by starting in our intramural program. Do not miss out on a great spring by missing this deadline, and why not secure your spot today by registering @ www.playhya.com 

Registration: Today through February 22, 2026, for all intramural ages and levels. The HYA Intramural baseball program is for kids in the Hempfield School District (Lancaster, PA).

Ponies: Ages 4-6 (T-Ball/Coach Pitch): Birthdates from 5/1/2019 through 4/30/2022 (Recommended for first year players)

Minors: Ages 6-8 (Coach Pitch): Birthdates from 5/1/2017 through 4/30/2020

Majors: Ages 7-10 (Kid Pitch): Birthdates from 5/1/2015 through 4/30/2019

Kindergarten Registration Now Open For 26/27 School Year

Kindergarten registration for the 2026-27 school year is NOW OPEN & must be done online! 💻 Registration should be completed by Friday, February 20.

Kindergarten is open to students within HSD who will be five years old before September 1. Visit https://www.hempfieldsd.org/student-services/kindergarten-information to complete registration.

Join us Thursday, January 15, for a special Teacher/Faculty Appreciation Night at the Girls' Varsity Basketball Game and GOLD OUT as we celebrate the incredible educators of Hempfield and support a great cause!

Before the varsity game, seniors will honor the following HSD staff members:

Support Mini-THON & Four Diamonds: The HHS Mini-THON committee will be selling GOLD shirts (Sizes S–XXXL) for $10. All proceeds benefit Four Diamonds at Penn State Hershey Medical Center, helping fight pediatric cancer.

At $9 per coupon, each sub coupon entitles you to one made-to-order sub from a variety of fresh ingredients. Order forms will be sent home with students this week and due back by Friday, January 30. Basketball Game to Support Chase Ruhl

Join the Hempfield Boys Basketball team for their Coaches vs. Cancer Home Game as they honor freshman teammate, Chase Ruhl, who is courageously battling Hodgkin's Lymphoma. "Team Chase" t-shirts will be available for $15 and can be preordered through the @hbbtogether Instagram page or purchased in limited quantities the night of the event.

The Act 34 Hearing for the high school construction project is now scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, February 17, with a snow date of Thursday, February 19, in the board room at the administration building, 200 Church Street, Landisville.

An Act 34 Hearing in Pennsylvania is a mandatory public meeting for school districts to present and get community input on major school construction or substantial additions, detailing the project's need, costs, and options, ensuring transparency for projects over certain cost thresholds, with requirements for public notice and comment periods before further board approval.
