Holiday Shoppe
The annual Holiday Shoppe starts next week, and we would love your help! This is a fun event where students can pick out holiday gifts for their loved ones, and every item is just $2. Your child’s teacher will let you know the day and time their class will visit the shop.
We are still looking for parent volunteers to help make the Holiday Shoppe run smoothly. If you’re able to lend a hand, please sign up here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/30E0A4AABAA23A6F85-60648007-2025

We look forward to welcoming next year’s kindergarten students to LPC. Next Tuesday, December 9, we will hold a ‘Pre-school Connections’ opportunity beginning at 12:00. Each opportunity to attend LPC for these connections offers a read aloud in a kindergarten classroom while meeting and doing an activity with one of our special area teachers. This month, boys and girls attending will get to meet our music teacher, Mrs. Ernst.
We are hopeful that many of our families can bring their future kindergartener to see the school.

Hempfield School District utilizes a text messaging system to notify parents/guardians of student absences, emergencies, school closings, delays, or unexpected early dismissals. Families no longer need to subscribe or “opt in” to receive the messages. Cell phone numbers are automatically pulled from PowerSchool, our student information system, if your number is listed as MOBILE and not HOME.
To complete or update your demographic information in PowerSchool:
1. Log in to PowerSchool, using the district website: www.hempfieldsd.org
(click on the PowerSchool Link) Usernames and passwords are case-sensitive.
This process will NOT work using the app. You must use a laptop or desktop computer.
2. Select the student you wish to update along the top (if you have more than one student, you need to complete one demographic form for each student)
3. Select the Student Demographic Information Update icon on the left-hand side (scroll to the bottom);
4. Enter your child’s date of birth for authentication.
5. Select “Begin Forms.”
6. After making your updates, the last page will show you a summary and a submit button. Click submit. Double-check to ensure your cell phone number is listed as 'MOBILE' and not 'HOME' phone from the dropdown menu.
7. For additional assistance:
https://www.hempfieldsd.org/operations/technology-department/student-demographic-information
Email powerschool@hempfieldsd.org for any questions regarding your Parent PowerSchool Portal account, or Parent Schoology account
Only MOBILE phone numbers listed in PowerSchool will receive text messages. If you are not a child’s parent or guardian listed in PowerSchool or a Hempfield staff member, you will no longer receive text messages from Hempfield School District.
