CHIP covers uninsured children and teens up to age 19 – and no family earns too much to qualify. With nearly 128,000 uninsured children in Pennsylvania, this is great news for families!
CHIP provides quality, comprehensive health insurance for routine doctor’s visits, prescriptions, dental, eye care, eyeglasses, mental health, and much more. CHIP covers uninsured kids who are not eligible for Medical Assistance. For many families, CHIP is free; for others, it is low-cost.

Dear Parents,
This is a friendly reminder that we look forward to seeing you at our Open House! Please feel free to arrive to the cafeteria anytime after 5:15 p.m. Our first schoolwide presentation will begin promptly at 5:30 p.m.
Parking may be limited, but families are welcome to park at LPC, LIC, or the Quad parking lot and walk across the playground to LPC.
Due to spacing concerns and fire code requirements, our first-grade presentations will now take place in the cafeteria rather than the library, as previously communicated.
Also, please remember that tomorrow is School Picture Day! Please scroll down to review the ordering information. Families may order pictures in advance online using the LPC School Access Code.
Finally, there will be no school from Friday, September 4, through Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day Weekend. School will resume on Tuesday, September 8.

High School Athletic Season Passes are on sale now! Beat the lines and purchase yours this week:
- General Public: Buchanan Office, 8–2:30 and 3–4 pm daily
- Students: Athletic Department throughout the school day
- Game Day 9/4: Passes will be available at the stadium starting at 5:30 pm

Hempfield School District is hiring Special Education Paraprofessionals across the district, as well as for other positions. $1,000 stipend available for paraprofessionals working in our Autistic Support classrooms this school year.
